My Favorite Things

As the last golden Aspen leaves hang on for the home stretch of fall at lower altitude, the sight of spinning ski lifts in the high country signals that winter is definitely on its way. Here are a few of my favorite things for this beautiful season of the year:

3rd Annual Kitchens, Carats and Cocktails

Cherry Creek Lifestyle recently hosted their third annual KCC event at the Exquisite Kitchen Designs showroom. The event was co-sponsored by prominent jewelry designers Todd Reed & John Atencio. Prestige Imports Oktoberfest

Prestige Imports Porsche celebrated its 27th Annual Oktoberfest on October 5th, 2017. This year’s event featured numerous new and vintage Porsche vehicles. In addition to Porsche vehicle displays, the event included authentic German food, beer, wine and live music accompanied with German dancing. Photography by Kelsey Huffer.

Winter Fanatics

This Spring/Summer Dan and Elaine Vardamis completed The Expedition Amundsen, an annual 100-kilometer cross-country skiing race that took place in Norway. At the end of the race, Dan and Elaine placed second in the co-ed division.

The Giving Tree

Do I have time to give? --> Yes ---> Do I like being outside? ---> Yes, I love nature (even bugs)! ---> I can donate time to: Leave No Trace - Volunteer time and help practice "leave no trace" ethics!  Make sure our forests and trails are free of trash and harmful pollutants!

The Danish word for creating a cozy atmosphere to enjoy life's simple pleasures. Often enjoyed with good food and drinks, warm blankets and soft candlelight. You'll never forget how to pronounce this Danish word again. Just remember, the end of the word makes the same sound of how you should feel, "Ahhhh."

Dane Hiett, a Seattle native, founded Chef Dane’s Kitchen in Denver this past June. Hiett’s passion for cooking began as a child when he frequently would follow his mother around the kitchen as she cooked.
