Rest & Relax

“Summertime and the livin’ is easy” has been on repeat since the summer solstice. It’s my favorite season (a close competitor is fall), and I’m soaking in every carefree moment. I can’t even keep track of all of the ‘out of the office’ emails I’ve gotten this season, but I’m certainly not complaining. It feels like a real summer break.

The Joy of Planting Sustainably

As many of us are in the middle of summer gardening projects, this month we reached out to Luan Akin, Gardening Outreach Ambassador at Tagawa Gardens, to give us some insight into what to plant and how to maintain a healthy garden.

Making a House a Home

Sheets of worn metal, branches and thin tarps make up the walls. The floor — dirt. No cabinets, couches or closets are in sight. This is the house where the Sanchezes, a family of seven, lived in Nicaragua. This is the house Jessica Northrop helped
to replace. Northrop, who’s been a realtor in the Denver area for 22 years, embarked…

The Long Way Home

That first roar of the engine starting up the SUV, was a great indicator that I was embarking on an excellent test drive. The 2017 Maserati Levante accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds and reaches 164 mph, the highest top speed in its class. Just about everyone is producing a line of SUV’s now; Jaguar with the…

Come summertime, Coloradans aren’t just living for the outdoors, they’re living in it. But for those of us living at 5,280, there’s just one tiny problem, and it goes by the name of traffic… Luckily, Four Elements Landscape & Outdoor Living excels in merging the best of both worlds right in your backyard. What started as a small family-owned business…

Make Your Escape

Walking into the lobby of The Maven, at first you might mistake your surroundings to be anywhere but LoDo’s newest independent hotel. An eclectic art gallery, perhaps? Quirky art installations from Colorado artists are playfully scattered throughout the floor. A hip new bar? The sexy Poka Lola Social Club glows in the distance. If its stylish art deco lines don’t…
