Event producers announce Vail Snow Days is Back! Modest Mouse and The Head and The Heart will headline Vail Snow Days, in two nights of free concerts. Modest Mouse will perform on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 and The Head and The Heart headlining on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019. Vail Snow Days is the signature kick-off festival to the winter season Thursday, Dec. 12 through Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019. Says James Deighan, Managing Partner of the event production company, Highline, “Highline is proud to collaborate with the Town of Vail and Vail Mountain to bring a full weekend of action for the 14th Annual Vail Snow Days. This event is a long-standing tradition to kick-off Vail’s winter season in style, this year bringing world-class musical talent back to Vail. The event programming represents such a world-class resort town complete with free live music, and continued traditions. What better reason to take a snow day than to enjoy a full weekend of entertainment, and skiing and riding in Vail!”
Cherry Creek North’s 4th Annual Winter Fest
On Saturday, Dec. 14, you’re invited to experience the true joy of the holiday season at Winter Fest on Fillmore Plaza and at participating businesses throughout the Cherry Creek North area. This free and festive celebration will culminate on Fillmore Plaza, transforming the street into a winter wonderland, featuring:
- Live ice carving
- Fire pits with outdoor seating
- Yuletide carolers
- Ice princesses on stilts
- Face painting
- Complimentary refreshments
The Oxford Hotel Dolls’ Tea: Celebrate the magic of the holiday season
Experience one of Denver’s favorite family traditions this holiday season with The Oxford Hotel’s Dolls’ Tea Party on Sunday, Dec. 8th. Held for more than 50 years at LoDo’s most historic boutique hotel, The Oxford Dolls’ Tea is a classic tea party featuring tea, sandwiches, hot cocoa and treats. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite doll along to enjoy the festivities. The highlight of the Dolls’ Tea Party is a whimsical ballet performance by the Arvada Dance Center designed especially for the children, who have an opportunity to meet the ballerinas and take photos with them after the show.
Santa’s Workshop coming to Dairy Block this December
Kris Kringle will be spreading holiday cheer – and posing for FREE family photos – at Santa’s Dairy Block Workshop on Saturday, Dec. 7th, 14th & 21st. Santa’s Dairy Block Workshop will feature a complimentary photo booth where families can take adorable pictures with Santa and meet his reindeer, while also enjoying live entertainment by elves & carolers, complimentary candy canes and more. Free and open to all ages, Santa’s Dairy Block Workshop will be open from noon – 4 p.m. on each of the three Saturdays. Santa’s Dairy Block Workshop will take place inside a space off of the Alley at Dairy Block, Denver’s newest world-class micro-district that celebrates the maker.
