Denver Compost Challenge

50% of what goes into the Denver landfill is food and yard waste. This material releases methane gas which contributes to climate change. We can decrease both the size of the landfill and methane pollution while nourishing our soil and gardens by composting. Today, only 4% of Cherry Creek residents compost. The Denver Compost Challenge is a call to action for all Denverites to compost more and create a healthier environment for all of us to enjoy. Visit the Denver Compost Challenge website to learn how you can help make a difference.
