Noble Riot now pouring wine in RiNo

Noble Riot is now open in Denver’s RiNo Arts District, a modern new wine-centric concept that champions small farmers and winemakers who produce wines with character & honesty. Operated by a team of sommeliers, Noble Riot is dedicated to turning people onto wines of character and to creating a place of revelation, where guests are encouraged to explore soulful new wines. Noble Riot is the creation of Scott & Nicole Mattson, the duo behind Denver’s popular jazz supper club, Nocturne, Colorado Natural Wine Consortium founder Troy Bowen and veteran wine professional Joel Kampfe, who curated the programs for the ENO Wine Bar brand. “We believe wine is about pleasure and discovery. Pretension should never be a part of the conversation” said Scott Mattson.  “Guiding someone to that ‘ah-ha’ moment with wine fires us up big time. There are so many great flavors and sensations to be experienced, and Noble Riot was created to celebrate those experiences.” Noble Riot will also be offering a curated selection of flavorful nourishments to accompany the liquid adventure. Located at 1336 27th Street, next door to Nocturne.

Citing Mick Jagger health issue, Rolling Stones postpone tour, including Denver concert

The Rolling Stones announced Saturday that the band has postponed the North American leg of its upcoming tour due to a health issue with lead singer Mick Jagger. The North American portion of the “No Filter” tour was set to begin in Miami on April 20. The band was scheduled to play at Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver on May 26. “Mick Jagger has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time as he needs medical treatment. The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible,” a press release announcing the postponement stated. Tour promoters AEG Presents and Concerts West said people who have tickets to attend the shows should keep them, as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates. “I hate letting our fans down and I’m hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour but am looking forward to getting back on stage as soon as I can,” Jagger said through the release.
