Tieghan Gerard, the blogger behind Half Baked Harvest and author of Half Baked Harvest Cookbook that just came out this fall. Her blog and cookbook both feature a little sweet, savory, healthy and indulgent recipes from her barn in the mountains of Silverthorne, Colorado. We asked the food photographer/stylist/recipe developer about her favorite things, in and out of the kitchen.
01 / What do you always have in your fridge?
In my fridge, I always have a surplus of fresh fruits and vegetables. Typically I have broccoli, carrots, beets, brussels sprouts, greens, berries, mangos, pineapples, plenty of avocados and fresh herbs, greens, and whatever veggies/fruit that is in season. During the autumn months, I always have apples, pomegranates, figs, winter squash, pumpkin, and plenty of root vegetables. I also keep our fresh goat milk and chicken eggs in the fridge along with Greek yogurt and multiple kinds of cheese.
02 // Any food you don’t like?
I am not really a fan of mayo!
03 /// Favorite guilty pleasure/necessary luxury?
Staying up late and watching the Harry Potter movies or reruns of Gilmore Girls.
04 //// Best everyday meal?
My favorite everyday meal is pretty simple, roasted veggies, a grain (I like quinoa or brown rice), avocado, and sprinkle cheese + nuts. I also love making pasta and pizza on busy weeknights too! I like to load them up with any of the vegetables and leftover cheese I have in the fridge.

Right now I am loving El Five. Their Spanish and Eastern Mediterranean menu is my kind of food.
06 ////// The most satisfying part of creating your own cookbook?
The most satisfying part of creating my own cookbook was seeing it come to life and knowing that people will be cooking out of it every day. It’s been so incredible to see readers posting photos of recipes they have made from the Half Baked Harvest cookbook.
