“I love being surrounded by such a supportive and talented group of women,” says Communications Coordinator and Brand Manager Meredith Fong. “My work has allowed me to explore my talents, grow my skills and continue to learn.”
Fond and Shannon Wells, a certified Xtreme Lashes lash stylist and makeup artist, conceptualized four day-to-night looks drawing inspiration from the holiday season and its warm winter glow.
First, Wells utilized a shimmery neutral palate, Shag and Scratch by Urban Decay and Sahara Sun by Clinique, to give the look depth. Then applied a liquid highlighter (Clinique Up-Lighting in natural) giving an even and dense highlight. Wells added definition to the brows with Glo Minerals Precise Micro Browliner in Ash. Lastly, Wells lined the bottom waterline with white eyeliner to make the eye color pop.
Glow with a Pop
This look was inspired by Sandra Dee of Grease! First, Wells created dark, winged eyeliner (Glo Minerals cream eyeliner in Ebony). Then, she added a vibrant red lip (Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick in Matte Crimson) and pinned back the model’s hair on one side to show off the winged liner. An easy way to make a natural look more dramatic.
Copper Smokey Eye
Fong felt that the color copper stood out in terms of this season’s trends, inspiring her two looks.
First, she applied Xtreme Lashes® GlideLiner Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Gold all over the lid followed by mid toned eyeshadow from Glo Minerals Eye Shadow Trio in Copper Sheen. Next, she applied a dark shade on the outer half of the lid, bringing the eyeshadow up to the crease. Then, she applied Xtreme Lashes® GlideLiner in Plum and then Black along the lash line. To add dimension, she added the darkest shade from Glo Minerals Eye Shadow Trio in Mulberry in the outer corner of the eye and to the outer 2/3s of the lower lash line. Finally, she applied the lightest shade from the Copper Sheen trio to the inner corner of the eye and under the brow bone. The look was finished with Xtreme Lashes® Length & Volume mascara.
Copper Smokey Eye with Bold Lip
Fong drew inspiration from another trend — the Gothic lip. She applied Glo Minerals Lipstick in Bordeaux and then darkest shade of the Glo Minerals Mulberry trio for dark, dramatic color. The look was finished off with shine from Glo Minerals in Black Cherry.
