Opening Gala

The Opening Gala benefits the CherryArts 501(c)(3) non-profit mission of providing access to the arts and supporting education. The evening is a fabulous art preview and buying reception topped-off with a stunning culinary experience and dinner program.

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Artist Preview Reception: Outdoors on Cherry Creek North’s Clayton Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Guests start their evening with a private reception featuring hors d’oeuvres, complimentary spirited beverages and an exclusive preview and purchase opportunity with 28 select CCAF juried visual artists.

7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. JW Marriott Denver’s Grand Ballroom: A truly grand gourmet culinary experience prepared by the JW’s Executive Chef paired with select wines. The dinner program includes the “Distinguished Patron” Honoree and special programming and performance art.

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Artist Preview Event – FREE PUBLIC EVENT: The Opening Night evening continues on Clayton Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues in Cherry Creek North. Breckenridge International Festival of Arts returns August 12–21, 2016. Highlights include L’Homme Cirque, Maya Beiser, Calexico, and The Moth Mainstage with Colorado premieres by John Luther Adams, Elizabeth Streb, Close-Act Theatre, Tasha Lewis and more.

From a human cannonball and 18-foot stilt-walking dinosaurs to public radio storytellers and swarms of colorful butterflies, BIFA offers an exhilarating program of extraordinary events in spectacular places and spaces across Breckenridge, Colorado. Inspired by themes of environment and mountain culture, the 10-day festival brings together a variety of performances, exhibitions, screenings, workshops, talks and surprise collaborations, with an eclectic mix of music, dance, film, visual arts and family entertainment.

Dozens of scheduled events, indoors and outdoors, ticketed and free, are showcased at venues and sites throughout town. The Fourth of July festivities begin well before the actual holiday in Denver. Visitors to The Mile High City can make a full, long weekend of exploring the city and celebrating the Fourth of July with festivals, concerts, arts and cultural activities and fireworks shows every evening, beginning July 1.
