In Dreamland 11

The talented wedding dream team of Sarah McGinnis and Hope Bradford from A Touch of Bliss, Photographer Colleen Kelly, Newberry Brothers florist, Sam Keith Cakes and Denver Botanic Gardens (among others), teamed up to create a mid-century modern fairytale featuring Pantone’s colors of the year—rose quartz and serenity. The result was a fantasy styled shoot not far from reality.

Lush Romance

A Touch of Bliss had a unique vision that could only be facilitated by the right venue. For us, the right venue was the Denver Botanic Gardens in the heart of Denver. The always-romantic and lush space (that real brides, too, enjoy each wedding season) was the perfect dreamy setting for a color-filled shoot. Specifically, the Solarium and Orangery set the mood, but with so many different gardens, settings and displays, it was hard for us to decide on just a couple whimsical spaces.

“My vision for the shoot was to bring to life the fairytale vibe of a wedding that I feel like we have all been missing lately,” says Hope Bradford.

The fairytale came to life starting in the Solarium, a pastel-green glass house tucked away behind the garden’s fresh foliage. Filled with hexagon marble tables and geometric glass terrariums decorated by local artist Moire Parker, each element included flushed pastels and Pantone’s pink and blue.

“I’m obsessed with the geometric shape trend, so the mid-century modern idea just fit,” says Sarah McGinnis.
