The Divide Music Festival

Team Player Productions is pleased to announce a new addition to its summer event’s calendar; the inaugural The Divide Music Festival will debut on July 22–24, 2016, in Winter Park, Colorado. This must-attend, three-day outdoor music and camping festival will feature A-list national acts, the best of Colorado’s music scene and gorgeous camping sites surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. Equally important to the festival’s inception is uncovering new ways to give back to the community. As a result, Team Player Productions partnered with Grand Foundation, a philanthropic organization serving all of Grand County, Colorado. The Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life in Grand County by proactively addressing current and future needs in the areas of health and human services, arts and culture, education, amateur sports and the environment. The Divide Music Festival is designed to be a national event with an estimated attendance of more than 35,000 fans.

Stuart Weitzman Expands Bridal Collection

Stuart Weitzman believes that the aisle is the bride’s runway. To address the stylish footwear needs of the modern bride, the brand is extending its bridal collection to include its iconic and most sought-after evening silhouettes. The collection is comprised of 10 core bridal styles in three elegant fabrics: white satin, argento noir and platinum gold noir. The selection includes the brand’s popular NUDIST sandal in four heel heights ranging from 2-¾ to 4-½ inches; an elegant pointed-toe, single-sole pump with both a high heel and a kitten heel; a modern round-toe platform pump; a delicate d’orsay lace-up ballet flat; a stylish wedge sandal; and a chic T-strap flat sandal. The bride-to-be looking to add a little sparkle to her step has the option to adorn the white satin styles with clear, chalk white or Something Blue light sapphire Swarovski crystals. Footwear plays a major role in every bride’s big day, so for those Instagram-able moments, the brand offers a customization based on Stuart Weitzman’s own proposal to his wife of 50 years, Jane, when he got down on one knee with a shoe instead of a ring. The lining of the one-of-a-kind shoe was inscribed “Made expressly for the future Mrs. Weitzman.” The bridal customization program takes a page out of the designer’s playbook by offering brides the option to personalize their sock lining with their new married name and wedding date.

LOLA Mexican Fish House Welcomes New Chef

LOLA Mexican Fish House is very excited to announce that chef Sharif A. Villa Cruz will take the helm as the new Chef de Cocina. Born and raised in Mexico City, Cruz moved to Summit County, Colorado, when he was thirteen years old. After graduating from the Colorado Mountain College Culinary Institute, he cut his teeth alongside chef David Welch at Foodheadz, Troy Guard at TAG and Duane Walker at Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar. Now at LOLA, he is stoked to be serving the food of his beloved homeland, bringing authentic Mexican cooking to the Denver dining scene. “My goal is for LOLA to be THE place to go to when you want real Mexican food,” says Cruz. “I want to show people from Denver that Mexican food can be humble but with lots of personality, spicy but soft, playful but approached with lots of respect.” Food and cooking have always been important to Cruz—from his days helping out in his Grandma’s kitchen as a kid to earning his stripes on the line to cooking for his church on Sundays. Good food brings family and friends together, and he loves that he gets to make that happen for his guests every night. “Being a cook and having the chance to work with others to achieve a mutual goal is an intense and rewarding experience and something that I can’t take for granted. Denver is the place to be a chef nowadays, and I thank God that I am part of it.”
